The "Empowering Enterprises with Intelligence" campaign achieved significant results in 2023, with Hunan's digital economic aggregate up 15% to over 1.7 trillion CNY. The penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools in industrial enterprises increased from 79.5% to 81.1%, 2.1 percentage points higher than the national average, according to the provincial industry and information technology work conference held on January 12, 2024.

The computing infrastructure is accelerating construction. In 2023, Hunan has vigorously implemented 100 landmark projects of "digital new infrastructure". An array of new infrastructure construction projects such as the Changsha AI Innovation Center Phase I and the China Telecom Zhongnan Intelligent Computing Power Center were completed and put into operation. The provincial total computing power exceeded 5,200 PFlops and 133,000 5G base stations were built, ranking 8th in China. The Changsha national Internet backbone direct connection point has been operating steadily, and its inter-provincial bandwidth has elevated by 24%.

The platform service system has been improved and expanded. Hunan has two national-level cross-industry and cross-field platforms, ranking 7th nationwide. The number of provincial-level industrial Internet platforms has reached 92, and the main industrial Internet platforms have connected with more than 9.55 million sets of industrial equipment.

The digital industrial cluster maintains high-quality development. In 2023, the provincial authority has successively introduced ten measures for advanced computing industry, and ten policies and development plans for audio and video industry. Changsha's new-generation autonomic secure computing system industrial cluster has kept growing. The provincial advanced computing industrial scale has surpassed 250 billion CNY. The whole industrial chain ecology of audio and video technology has sped up construction. The revenue growth rate of software and information technology service industry reached over 15%.

More and more enterprises have been engaged in the "Empowering Enterprises with Intelligence" campaign. There are accumulatively 26 national industrial Internet pilot demonstration projects in Hunan, 133,000 enterprises newly added to the cloud network, and 13,000 enterprises opened services on the platform.
