The Changsha Customs held a promotion meeting of imports and exports of agricultural products of Hunan Province on April 27. It announced that in the first quarter of this year, Hunan's exports of agricultural products hit 4.58 billion yuan, an increase of 89% year-on-year, 73 percentage points higher than the national growth rate.
Hunan's agricultural products sell well in 144 countries and regions. Exports of vegetables, hybrid rice seeds, hairy crabs, tea, pork and other products, as well as imports of large lobsters are at the forefront of the country.
Since the beginning of this year, the exports of Hunan's agricultural products have seen a leapfrog development. In the first quarter, Hunan exported 92.8 million yuan of hybrid rice seeds, accounting for 46.5% of the country's rice seed exports, ranking first in the country. The province's vegetable exports reached 2.53 billion yuan, ranking second in the country. Hunan sold 20,000 live pigs to Hong Kong and Macao, a year-on-year increase of 170%.
The resumption of flights at airports has also led to an acceleration in the import of agricultural products. In the first quarter, Hunan imported 780 million yuan of aquatic animals and 643 million yuan of fruits, a year-on-year increase of 65.9% and 70.9%, respectively. Hunan customers can enjoy a variety of fresh agricultural products from all over the world, including blue crabs, eels, lobsters, wax apples, durian, prunes, and more, on their dining tables.
The Changsha Customs takes the holding of the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo as an opportunity to support Hunan enterprises to build Hunan agricultural products exhibition and sales centers in Africa.
