On September 12, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province; Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, minister of Industry, Indonesia; Xiang Wenbo, president of Sany Heavy Industry and rotating chairman of Sany Group; and, Qu Hai, secretary general of the People's Government of Hunan Province laid the foundation stone for the second phase project of Sany Indonesia Industrial Park.

The Sany Indonesian "lighthouse factory" is the first "intelligent factory" of Sany Group in its overseas layout. The first phase began construction in March 2020, with a total investment of 200 million CNY. It mainly produces excavators weighing 13 to 55 tons for the Southeast Asian market, with an annual production capacity of 3,000 sets.

The first-phase factory, with about 200 various intelligent equipment and only about 100 workers, realizes an annual output value of more than 2 billion CNY and a per capita annual output value of about 20 million CNY. It is one of the highest per capita output value and the highest degree of intelligence of the overseas factories in China's construction machinery industry.

The newly started second phase project of Sany Indonesia Industrial Park, with a total investment of 150 million USD, covers an area of 105 mu (7 ha.). It will mainly produce excavators, wide-body trucks, and other equipment. Its output value is expected to reach 5 billion CNY and offer more than 2,000 new jobs.

The "Empowering Enterprises with Intelligence" Campaign is in full swing across Hunan Province. There will be 1,000 intelligent manufacturing enterprises, 3,000 intelligent manufacturing production lines and workshops, and 15,000 intelligent workstations provincewide. It is expected that Hunan's leading intelligent manufacturing enterprises like Sany Group would take advantage of the campaign to accelerate expansion and advancement, and lead advanced technology, standards, and products to "go global" with high quality, to contribute to the high-quality "Belt and Road" cooperation.
