Eight representatives of cultural tourism projects were signed on site at the 2023 Hunan Culture and Tourism Industry Investment and Financing Conference which was held in Chenzhou on the afternoon of September 17.

A total of 340 major cultural tourism investment projects worth about 332.3 billion yuan were promoted at the conference, with an investment and financing needs of nearly 242 billion yuan. Chenzhou and Hengyang cities made presentations on cultural tourism projects, seven roadshows for key cultural tourism projects were held. Fruitful results were achieved at the conference thanks to earlier in-depth negotiations. Fifty provincial-level projects with a total investment of 23.47 billion yuan were signed, involving such fields as tourist areas development, cultural and tourism integration, resort hotels, catering, healthcare center, rural revitalization, and cultural tourism supporting facilities.

In addition, cities and prefecture throughout the province have been actively carrying out investment attraction activities since the preparation of the conference. A total of 154 projects were inked, with a total investment of more than 37.7 billion yuan and an introduced investment of over 31.9 billion yuan. Ninety-four projects were expected to be signed, with a total investment of more than 45.9 billion yuan and an introduced investment of over 43.1 billion yuan.

Chenzhou, the host city of the conference, has yielded fruitful results in investment attraction and cooperation between cultural tourism and finance. The Chenzhou Municipal People's Government reached strategic cooperation with 17 financing institutions including the China Development Bank Hunan Branch, Agricultural Development Bank of China Hunan Branch, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Hunan Branch. In the next three to five years, these institutions will grant a credit line of 457 billion to Chenzhou to support its cultural tourism industry.
