It has been exported to the Middle East for the first time, after passing customs declaration and quarantine at the Zhangjiajie Customs. The exported Sangzhi white tea was valued at 150,000 USD. This marked that the Sangzhi white tea made its international debut and was ready to shine at the global market.

Sangzhi County is located at 30 degrees north latitude, the golden tea-producing belt. The county authority has been taking ecological advantages to make the white tea industry grow bigger and stronger. It has formed an industrial development pattern of "one tea garden, one tea belt, and one tea area". There are now 79,500 mu (5,300 ha.) of white tea gardens in Sangzhi County, with an annual output of 4,500 tons and an output value of 580 million CNY.
