A Hunan economic and trade delegation attended the 2023 Hong Kong International Tea Fair and Food Expo, and visited business organizations in Hong Kong between August 16 and 20, 2023. Zhang Jian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, was present. Seventy-two Hunan food and tea enterprises, including Liuyanghe Group, Xinpinji Culture, and Tianmenjun Vine Tea, participated in the event.

The Hong Kong International Tea Fair and Food Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is Hong Kong's largest and most influential event in the culinary field. It aims to build a professional business platform for international and domestic enterprises and merchants to display food and new products of related industries. Hunan exhibitors presented Anhua dark tea, Xinhua polygonatum, Baojing golden tea, Zhangjiajie vine tea, Xiangxi preserved meat, and other "Hunanese" specialty agricultural products.

During the expo, the Hunan Federation of Industry and Commerce, the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, and the Hunan Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives co-hosted the 2023 Hunan Food and Tea (Hong Kong) Promotion Conference, to promote the business environment, investment policies, and projects for investment in Hunan. Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Anhua County, Xinhua County, Yiyang Tea Factory, Xiangdian Foods, Xiangxi Niujiao Mountain Ecological Development Company, and Xiangfeng Sangzhi White Tea introduced local history and culture, tea industry, and products with local characteristics.
