On New Year's Eve, tens of thousands of tourists came to the Window on the World, Changsha to ring in the new year together.

The 2024 New Year's Day holiday has sparked consumers' enthusiasm for travel and stimulated the vitality of the tourism market. According to a report released by online travel booking platform Ctrip, Changsha was listed as a popular tourist destination for the holiday with a 98% year-on-year increase in overall travel bookings. Big data analysis showed that Changsha received 6.0965 million tourist trips during the three-day holiday.

As of 12 o'clock on January 1, Changsha's 26 scenic areas included in the provincial cultural tourism statistics and monitoring system received 230,100 tourist arrivals, up 157.6% from last year. The scenic areas generated a revenue of 9.9574 million yuan that day, surging by 144.19% year on year. A total of 547,900 tourist trips were made to the scenic areas during the three-day holiday, a cumulative increase of 114.17%. The total tourism revenue during the holiday reached 21.8852 million yuan, a cumulative increase of 41.51%.
