A news briefing was held at the press center of the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation on September 4. 

Dai Zhiguang (C), deputy director of the Office of Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Deng Weiping (R), deputy director of the Hunan Department of Commerce, introduced Hunan's cooperation with Africa and answered questions from journalists. 

According to the briefing, Hunan has been deepening exchanges and cooperation with Africa in various fields, and vigorously exploring new modes and ways for local cooperation with Africa, continuously achieving new progresses. In 2023, Hunan's import and export trade with Africa totaled 55.67 billion CNY, ranking eighth nationwide and first in the central and western regions of China.
