The Malanshan Center for Translation and Production was established in Changsha on July 30, 2024. The center aims to further expand the channels for Chinese culture to enter the international market, and enhance Hunan's capacity for international communication.

The center is co-constructed by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Chinese Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, IFLY TEK, and Hunan Normal University. It will focus on serving the national strategies and exploring new paths for integrating content translation and international communication. The center will facilitate Hunan's cultural exchange with the world, and show a pragmatic, open, and confident new Hunan to the world.

The center reached an agreement of strategic cooperation and a MoU for key project cooperation at the establishment ceremony. Several experts and scholars gave keynote speeches, sharing their experiences and insights on film translation and production.
