The Hunan Xiangchuan Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. held a superyacht lauching ceremony at the Xiangjiang River Jinggang Ancient Town section in Wangcheng District, Changsha, on the morning of July 26, 2024.

This is Hunan's first superyacht exported to Europe. Construction of the superyacht began in November 2022 and lasted for one and a half years, with a total cost of 100 million CNY. It is 55 meters long with a gross weight of 1,081 tonnes. It is scheduled to sail in the Aegean Sea of Greece after delivery at the end of this year.

"It is a top-of-the-line superyacht in China," said Xiangchuan Vice Manager Li Zhongjun.

A variety of advanced technologies have been applied to the superyacht to elevate its propulsive efficiency and lower the vibratility and noise during the voyage. The interior decorations are luxurious, comparable to a "6-star hotel on the sea".  

Banos, president of the Akron Group—owner of this superyacht, was deeply impressed by the appearance, welding, and quality of Xiangchuan's third-generation "Dachen" yacht during his visit to Xiangchuan in February 2022. After extensive investigations and negotiations, Akron Group decided to place the superyacht order with Xiangchuan. Banos mentioned that, this superyacht will be present at the world yacht exhibition next year, promoting China's shipbuilding industry to the overseas markets and the potential clients.
