The Statue of Young Mao Zedong in the Orange Isle Scenic Area, Changsha, was unveiled to the public again on December 1, after nearly two months of maintenance. Residents and tourists can get a full view of the statue from that day on.

The Statue of Young Mao Zedong, located at the southern end of Orange Isle, is one of the most representative landmarks in Changsha. Since its completion in 2009, the statue has received wide attention and recognition from locals and tourists. It has become an iconic attraction showcasing the new image of Changsha. 

The Orange Isle Scenic Area started a comprehensive cleaning and maintenance of the statue on October 8, 2023, aiming to protect the statue in a scientific manner.
