On December 28, with the last bridge deck put in place, the Changsha Xiangluzhou Bridge was successfully joined together, laying a solid foundation for the scheduled opening of the bridge. The bridge was undertaken by the CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Company Ltd.
Xiangluzhou Bridge is the 14th river-crossing bridge under construction in Changsha City. Located in Wangcheng District, Changsha, it is a two-way six-lane urban trunk road with a designed speed of 60 kilometers per hour. The main line of the bridge is 3.24 kilometers long, and its main tower is 202 meters high. It is a single-tower cable-stayed bridge with the largest span and the highest main tower over the Xiangjiang River.
