First Changsha Sculpture Art Exhibition to Open on December 23_Tourist attractions in Hunan

The First Changsha Sculpture Art Exhibition will open at the Li Zijian Art Museum on December 23, 2023. A total of 232 sculptures created by Hunan-born artists and specially invited artists will be on display.

The exhibition is guided by the Changsha Federation of Literary and Art Circles and hosted by the Changsha Artists Association and the Li Zijian Art Museum. In September this year, the exhibition called for entries from sculpture artists who were born in Hunan or currently reside and work in Hunan. After a thorough review process, 135 out of 355 entries were shortlisted for the exhibition. In addition, sculpture masters including Lei Yixin, Li Ming, Xiao Xiaoqiu, Yang Runyong, and Liu Qing, as well as the exhibition's judges will be invited to display their works. Some sculpture works from the collection of the Li Zijian Art Museum will also be showcased.

This exhibition will bring together classic works created by senior sculptors in various periods of sculpture development in Hunan, as well as open and enterprising works by a new generation of young sculptors. It will show Hunan's sculpture art achievements over the past 30 years and present a sculpture art feast to the audience.
