The E60 Expressway F2 section in Georgia officially opened to traffic on the afternoon of October 28 local time. This expressway project is constructed by the Hunan Road and Bridge Construction Group. It is the largest overseas independent project of the group.

The E60 Expressway, known as Georgia's "No.1 Project", is a crucial transportation infrastructure which traverses the country, according to a manager of the group. The opening of the F2 section will contribute to a complete transportation network linking Georgia and Asian countries with Europe. It represents a bridgehead for the group to explore the construction markets of Turkey, Armenia, and even the whole Europe.

The E60 Expressway F2 section is located in the mountainous area between Zestaphoni and Khashuri municipalities in central Georgia. It is 12.2 km in length, with two-way four lanes on its main line. The main parts of the expressway consist of 38 bridges and 20 tunnels.
The project construction began in 2018, with a total investment of two billion CNY. It is an important project of Hunan Province in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and boosting international industrial capacity cooperation.
