According to Changsha Customs, four comprehensive bonded zones in Hunan that have been engaged in cross-border e-commerce retail import business have sold a total of 253,200 cross-border e-commerce parcels from 8:00 p.m. on October 31 to 4:00 p.m. on November 11. This represents a growth of 3.84 times compared to the same period last year.

On November 11, shelves in the cross-border e-commerce warehouse of Changsha's Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone were stacked with beverages, food, skincare products, and other goods. Workers were sorting, packaging, scanning, and loading cross-border goods from around the world in an orderly manner.

In September this year, Cainiao Network, the logistics arm of Alibaba Group, established a cross-border bonded warehouse in the Huanghua Comprehensive Bonded Zone, bringing faster logistics and delivery services for local consumers who buy products from overseas websites. "This year's 'Double 11' shopping festival witnessed an impressive inventory of over 4.5 million items and our orders are expected to exceed 300,000 this year. Consumers prefer to purchase cosmetics and personal care products through cross-border platforms," said Chen Zhongzhou, a person in charge of the cross-border bonded warehouse.

Gong Xianming, director of the Changsha Customs Port Supervision Office, noted that the customs authority learned about enterprises' promotional activities in advance and increased on-site customs supervision personnel during peak periods, so as to cope with the "Double 11" shopping spree, to enhance customs clearance efficiency, and to provide consumers with a better "cross-border online shopping" experience.
