The 4th Hunan International Green Development Expo (Green Expo) opened in Changsha on July 28. Nearly 400 enterprises at home and abroad participated. With the theme of "Low-carbon, Circulation, Development", 12 forums and meetings was scheduled to be organized during the three-day expo, covering policy discussions, technical exchanges, project release and supply-demand matchmaking.
Bounkham Vorachit, minister of natural resources and environment of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and Zhang Shenfeng, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade attended and delivered speeches. Jiang Difei, vice governor of the Hunan Provincial People's Government, announced the opening of the expo. Chai Liyuan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and vice principal of Central South University, was present. Leaders from the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry, China Association of Circular Economy, and China National Resources Recycling Association, as well as envoys and representatives of business associations from Laos, Uruguay, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, South Korea, Serbia, and other countries, attended the event.
The expo covers an exhibition area of 31,000 square meters, including a 12,000-sqm area for environmental protection industry, a 10,000-sqm area for circular economy, and a 9,000-sqm area for green energy conservation. Special areas are set up to showcase various exhibits, including the winners of the Hunan Governor Quality Award, an alliance for cooperation among 6 circular economy associations in central China and 3 in other parts of China, sponge cities in 6 provinces in central China, the environmental protection industry outside of Hunan, Hunan's top 20 circular economies and typical cases of outstanding enterprises, equipment renewal and transformation in Hunan's key areas, green buildings, famous, high-quality and characteristic industries, and green industrial parks.
Among the participating enterprises, there are more than 100 enterprises from the province, including Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co.,Ltd., Sinoboom Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., Goldcup Electric Apparatus Co., Ltd., Jinlv Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., Vary Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Valin Wire & Cable Co.,Ltd., HNAC Technology Co., Ltd, XEMC, and Hunan Renhe Environment Co.,Ltd. In addition, a dozen key green industrial parks from the province signed up for the expo, including Wangcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, Liuyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Zhuzhou High-tech Development Zone. Over 30 leading enterprises from more than 10 provinces and municipalities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Shandong, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Fujian, and Hebei participated. Nearly 20 companies from Germany, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Austria, Israel, South Korea, ASEAN and other regions also participated.
