Shaoyang County held a signing ceremony for the key projects in the third quarter on August 18. Fifteen projects, with a total investment of 1.68 billion CNY, were inked. The Asia-Europe-Africa Overseas Warehouse project was contracted and simultaneously launched, as the first of its kind in Shaoyang City.

The Asia-Europe-Africa Trade and Investment Promotion Association (AEA) and the Shaoyang County People's Government reached a framework agreement on cross-border cooperation and joint operation to forge a cross-border trading platform. The platform will provide "one-stop" services for its registered members to help them promote products to the international markets. Besides, it will introduce raw materials from Africa and attract foreign-funded enterprises, to construct a deep-processing industrial cluster in Shaoyang County. So far, the county has established overseas warehouses in Benin and Ghana in a two-way manner, which can facilitate introduction of overseas products and promotion of local products.

The Asia-Europe-Africa Overseas Warehouse will leverage the advantages of internet, and roll out "online/offline + overseas warehouse + barter trade" in multiple channels and modes, to boost the virtuous cycle of promoting Shaoyang-made and featured local products to the global markets and introducing advanced technologies and products from foreign countries. It aims to raise the profile of Shaoyang brands, and broaden consumer markets for the local real economy.

According to Yuan Shengliang, secretary of the CPC Shaoyang County Committee, the county has been focusing on project development as an important tool to boost economic and social development. Twenty-six enterprises have settled in the industrial parks this year, with a total investment of 5.1 billion CNY. The construction of a new materials industrial park has progressed at an accelerated pace, with 16 standard factories and office buildings completed since the start of construction early this year, and a sci-tech enterprise has been put into operation.
