The 4th International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) World Cup (Miluo, China) concluded in Miluo, Yueyang, on October 27.
The Chinese team won four gold and five silver medals in all five heats, ranking first with the highest combined score and successfully defending its IDBF World Cup title for the fourth time.
The Indonesian team obtained a gold medal in the 200-meter heat, and ranked second in terms of the combined score. The Canadian team ranked third.

According to the IDBF rules, only the top 12 national and regional teams in the IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships can get the access to the world cup competition. The team with the highest combined score wins the world cup title, based on its performances in all of the five heats—100-meter, 200-meter, and 500-meter heats; 400-meter relay; and, 1,000-meter heat.

The IDBF World Cup was initiated in 2014, with its first three sessions held successively in Fujian's Fuzhou, Jiangsu's Changzhou, and Chongqing's Hechuan. The fourth session in Yueyang opened on October 26, participated by 11 teams from 10 countries and regions.
