The Megmeet Global R&D Center was unveiled in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone on February 17. Changsha Vice Mayor Gao Wenqi attended the unveiling ceremony and announced the center's official opening.
Founded in 2003, Megmeet is a one-stop solution provider of hardware and software R&D, production, sales and service in the field of electrical automation. It has set up R&D, manufacturing, and marketing centers in 36 countries and regions around the world.
Megmeet Global R&D Center started construction in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone in 2019, with a total investment of 600 million yuan and an area of 54.9 mu (3.66 ha.). The center is Megmeet's largest R&D headquarters which boasts the most extensive business scope and the strongest research and development strength. It is composed of 8 laboratories in eight fields such as safety certification, EMC, reliability, and failure analysis, 3 anechoic chambers, and 14 comprehensive power electronics laboratories. The goal is to become a global leader in software development and testing of power electronic components and systems, and to build the largest testing laboratory in the power electronics industry in central China which can accommodate 1,500 to 2,000 R&D personnel.
In the future, Megmeet will seize the historic opportunities brought about by Changsha's efforts in building a global R&D center, continue to promote the local commercialization of sci-tech innovation achievements, and boost the regional power electronics industry.
