February 24 marks the Lantern Festival this year. Many scenic areas and cultural venues in Changsha have launched various festivities including guessing lantern riddles, appreciating lanterns, tasting Yuanxiao or Tangyuan (glutinous rice dumplings), and watching performances to greet this traditional festival.

Binjiang Cultural Park

On February 24, the Binjiang Cultural Park is scheduled to launch various Lantern Festival theme activities, including offering Tangyuan to tourists for free and holding a riddle-guessing activity. In addition, a Lantern Festival concert featuring traditional Chinese music will be staged at the Changsha Concert Hall.

Window on the World

The Window on the World has prepared eight themed lantern arrangements, a 100-meter corridor featuring lantern riddles, a praying ceremony, a temple fair and other activities, to immerse visitors in a jubilant atmosphere. The temple fair will last until February 25. More than 20 light-themed amusement programs are open to the public at night.

Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage Theme Park 

From 9:30 to 21:00 on February 24, a vibrant tapestry of performances are staged at the Changsha Fantawild Oriental Heritage Theme Park, as part of a "Lucky Chinese New Year" theme event. The performances include a parade featuring auspicious beasts sending blessings, a fireworks display, fire dragon dances in a shower of molten iron, a Spring Festival temple fair, and a lantern fair. 

Liuyang Sky Theater

A Lantern Festival fireworks show is scheduled to be held at the Liuyang Sky Theater on February 24. Themed "Happy Liuyang, Happy Lantern Festival", the show is divided into four chapters. Tourists can book a 1-yuan ticket through the WeChat mini-program of "Fireworks Cloud [烟花云]" .
