The Hunan-Thailand Economic and Trade Cooperation and Matchmaking Conference was held in Changsha on December 19, 2023. Representatives from more than 70 Hunan enterprises in various industries, such as fruit, agricultural machinery, hardware tools, and Chinese medicinal herbs, communicated and signed agreements with over 20 Thai business associations and enterprises. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council inked cooperative agreements with the Farmer Association Thai and the Thai-Chinese Agribusiness Association.

The CCPIT Hunan Sub-council has utilized the Hunan-ASEAN Business Council and the Hunan liaison offices in other places since the beginning of this year. As a result, it has facilitated the export of Lixian County sunshine rose grapes to Thailand for the first time. Next, the Yongxing sweet oranges and the Shimen citrus will also be made available to Thai consumers.

So far, Hunan has set up 126 foreign investment enterprises in Thailand, with a contract value of 688 million USD for foreign direct investment from the Chinese side. In 2022, the import and export trade volume between Hunan and Thailand reached 20.9 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%.
