An art exhibition featuring 80 works created by contemporary Chinese artist Dai Ze and his fellows opened at the Meilun Art Museum, Changsha on November 19.
The exhibition was sponsored by the Hunan Fine Arts Publishing House and the Dai Ze Art Foundation, supported by the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and undertaken by the Meilun Art Museum. It is open to the public free of charge till December 17.
The exhibition displays works by 16 artists, namely, Dai Ze, Gao Chao, Gu Lin, Ma Changli, Zhang Chongqing, Chen Weisheng, Cai Liang, Shao Jingkun, Jin Shangyi, Cao Chunsheng, Wei Zuyin, Sun Weimin, Zhang Ken, Shen Shengqiu, Long Liyou, and Kan Le. Characterized by diverse types and broad themes, these works cover a time period from the 1940s to the present. They are a microcosm of the development course of Chinese modern and contemporary art.
