The "Ace New Brand" large-scale multi-media event of the China Media Group (CMG) and the launching ceremony of the "China nighttime economy vitality index release" were held in Changsha on April 16, 2023. Yang Haodong, a member of the Standing Committee and director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Peng Jianming, a member of the CMG editorial board and CMG general manager, attended.

The rules of the "Ace New Brand" shortlist were released and the golden metaverse blocks announced on the spot. The "Dialogue" program of the CCTV Financial Channel recorded a special program under the theme of "Activating New Consumption - Changsha Model for Night Consumption". The 2023 "China Nighttime Economy Vitality Index" and a series of lists will be released this July, to discuss and share Changsha's experiences in developing the nighttime economy.

In addition, the CCTV Financial Channel has initially established the "Nighttime Economy Observation Points" in Changsha, and set up the "nighttime economy check-in points" in the following places: Taiping Street, Baiguoyuan Block, Chaozong Street, and Changsha New Consumer Research Institute. The CCTV General Channel has also built a 5G experience area of "I Am the Golden Livestreamer" on Changsha streets, applying "5G+4K/8K+AI" technology to allow visitors to interactively explore the live-streaming process.

In 2022, the total retail sales of Changsha's night economy accounted for about 60% of the city's total retail sales of consumer goods. Changsha has been selected as one of the "China's Top 10 Influential Cities in Urban Nighttime Economy" for three consecutive years, crowned in the "Top 20 Popular Livable Cities in 2022", and one of the "Top 10 Forbes China Consumer Vitality Cities List in 2022". During the May Day holiday, the movie "Tale of the Night" that was filmed in Changsha, will hit theaters nationwide.
